Otago Boys’ High School: Top South First XI

Otago Boys High School

Otago Boys’ High School was third at the National First XI cricket tourney last year and return to the 2017 finals with a reasonably young team, compared to previous years.  Six of the players return in 2018, but most have played some age-group representative cricket in recent years.

Otago won the Gillette Cup in 1992 and 1993 and last year’s ranking was their highest finish in several years.  

Otago have had a top season thus far and should be very competitive in Palmerston North in December.

From June 28 to July 1, New Zealand athletes won 34 titles at the Oceania Area Athletics Championships in Suva and a total of 74 medals across the six age grades and Para events.

Burns Mills has grown to appreciate the value of taking nothing for granted. The Otago Boys’ High School First XV utility back is the son of David Mills, a legally blind man who won a bronze medal in the Marathon at the 1988 Seoul Paralympics.
